Three event providers Bubble of Fun, De Vey Fun Fairs and the Exmouth Miniature Railway are thrilled to be setting up shop on Queen’s Drive Space this summer.

Bubble of Fun

will be bringing two water-based rides; water walking balls that allow riders to walk, run and crawl on water in a transparent bubble ball and bumper boats allowing children to independently sail in the safety of an inflatable pool.

Water Walking Balls

Water sphere’s are the perfect water walking device. A cool transparent device that allows the rider inside the bubble ball to finally walk, run, crawl, roll around on the water and interact with it like never before.

Our balls are made from the best grade TPU and all our balls conform to UK standards and are tested and have an original German TIZIP Divers Zip making them watertight. We offer many sizes of inflatable pools to meet your requirements from 8m x 6m to 10m x 10m and are made from the best PVC Tarpaulin.

Water Walking – The inflatable water walking balls are 6ft in diameter with plenty of room even for tall customers. Once inside you’re able to breathe normally and by rotating the ball in the direction you’re walking you can then walk on water!

Bumper Boats

Bumper boats can be used in our various sized pools with the most popular being our 8m x 8m, this ride is perfect for that beached themed event along with shows/festivals and children’s parties. Powered by a 12w rechargeable battery these boats will give children the chance to sail the high seas in the complete safety ( a member of staff is always in the pool ) of our ‘Boat of fun activity’.

De Vey Funfair

will be bringing a selection of children’s rides, including dodgems and the twister ride to be enjoyed by the whole family.

Exmouth Miniature Railway

We’re a 10 & ¼ portable miniature railway with two carriages holding up to 16 people. We have 100m of track which will create an ‘L’ shape at one side of the events space. We operate a there and back railway, so passengers will board at the ticket office and return there.

Here’s a bit about how we started

Henry and I purchased the miniature railway in 2019 which used to be at the Exmouth fun park pre-2017. Since then, we have been working on a full-restoration. We started off by replacing the wheels, fitted new running gear and breaks before tackling the engine. We believe the engine was around the 1980s so it was 40 years old! We replaced the engine and started on the bodywork. We put the cab back on the loco, sanded off layers of paint and sprayed with green fitted with the original nameplates. We also updated the carriages to a cream and brown.

How it will work at the Queen’s Drive Space

While social distancing restrictions are still in place, we will be limited to the number of passengers we can take on each journey but we’ll be open from 10am-6pm at Queen’s Drive Event Space so we hope to accommodate everyone! Tickets can be purchased from our ‘ticket office’ gazebo for £2 per person, per ride.

Dates will be from 1st May until 31st October weekends, bank holidays and school holidays

Timings will be 10am-6pm (weather permitting)
