Queen’s Drive Space is a summer seafront attraction offered to you by East Devon District Council.

The Council has transformed the vacant space on the seafront to create a vibrant new space that combines different attractions for all the family to enjoy from dawn until dusk.

What people are saying:

“The space is so cool. Really thoughtfully done, the new playground is a real asset to locals and visitors alike. While the bar and seating area is great for us grownups!

Meanwhile I’ve already seen the ballet on the big screen and hope to see the opera next week – these are things that I missed about living in a city – free cultural events. Now we have them too – and a fab beach as a bonus.”

“If I saw this setup in another beach resort, I’d wish we had similar in Exmouth. Now we do!”

The area includes:

  • free Jurassic themed children’s play
  • food and seating area including food stalls and a bar
  • events area for daytime and evening entertainments.

Queen’s Drive Space opened to the public on Saturday 26 May 2018. We reopen for the new season on Saturday 6th April 2019, with a great range of food traders and the return of our popular bar. An exciting event programme has been prepared for this summer, like our Facebook page or follow us on Instagram to find out more.
