Queen’s Drive Space is a new summer seafront attraction being offered to you by a partnership of East Devon District Council, Taste of the West and the Oddfellows Bar, Exmouth.

The Council has transformed the vacant space on the seafront to create a vibrant new space that combines different attractions for all the family to enjoy from dawn until dusk.

What people are saying:

“The space is so cool. Really thoughtfully done, the new playground is a real asset to locals and visitors alike. While the bar and seating are is great for us grownups!

Meanwhile I’ve already seen the ballet on the big screen and hope to see the opera next week – these are things that I missed about living in a city – free cultural events. Now we have them too – and a fab beach as a bonus.”

“If I saw this setup in another beach resort, I’d wish we had similar in Exmouth. Now we do!”

The new area includes:

  • free Jurassic themed children’s play
  • food and seating area including food stalls and a bar
  • events area for daytime and evening entertainments.

Queen’s Drive Space will open to the public from Saturday 26 May. The free play area and seating area will be open throughout the summer from this time. The food stalls will be available from then for weekends and then through school holidays. More details on dates here.

A programme of evening events such as screenings of Royal Opera House Swan Lake; film nights and live music will be available. More details on the programme here.
